review 1: This is the first collection I've read from Ms. Scott and probably won't be the last. I enjoyed these stories a lot more than I thought I would. I was surprised how each story connected with the previous one in some way. Genius. These quirky short romance stories are perfect for when you only have a few minutes to read. I loved the different ways the couples met and fell in love. I only wish that some of the stories were a little longer because the romance element seemed rushed.
review 2: I loved how each of the stories were interwoven yet independent of each other. "The Hot Girl’s Friend”Jane is the wingman for her gorgeous friend Miranda...so she only gets the attention of the guys trying to hit on Miranda. While sitting at the bar giving the guys funny e
... morexcuse to keep them away from her blonde amazon friend the bartender notices & challenges her negative view on men. Brandy challenges her to accompany him out, without Miranda, to prove she's been fishing for me in the wrong places, he'd introduce her to a better crowd. But Jane starts to feel bad that sexy Brady isn't interested in her either...“Wrong Place, Right Guy”I LOVE that Tony is in story #2, even if Brady wasn't a big fan of him. Kristen is headed to return some wallpaper samples & meet her sister for another blind date when she's mugged. Suddenly Tony jumps off the roof he's fixing to help her! She wants to thank him even though the police even warned her to stay away from Tony. Can she help the obvious "Mr. Wrong"? “Not You”TOO funny! Carly is at the same gala as Kristen & Tony...small world. She decided to throw caution to the wind & pick up her first one-night-stand. She's feeling bad because tomorrow is her mom's 3rd wedding, & she hasn't even had 1. Who she picks up is funny/ironic. “Desperately Seeking Cupid”Brianna attends a friends wedding (can't tell you who's) & is seated at the single ladies table...only problem is she's the only 20-something the rest are 70-something...lol. So the feng shui expect at the table offers her services to help her find love. “Never Been Dumped”Rachel has sworn off men because every time she decides it isn't working...her ex's become stalkers or too heartbroken for her to handle. As she's stood up at the bar by her BFF & has to battle continuous come-ons one guy gets her to take time to explain her rejecting everyone. She'd like for once to be dumped & not be the bad guy...so he offers her a relationship with an expiration date since he'll be leaving in 2 months. He's in town to sell his Grandma's old Victorian (Kristen's the realtor). Miranda & Jane even make an appearance as the stories come full circle. less
