review 1: I thought this was a really well written story about a woman who had to deal with the struggles that comes with loosing a lot of weight.I absolutely loved Natalie and her friend Micki. Micki was a wonderful and very supportive friend while another certain friend (Cassidy) left the reader wanting to strangle her through the kindle lolThe chemistry between Natalie and Connor was really sweet to watch as they got to know each other.
review 2: For starters, I picked up SHE'S HOT NOW as a freebie on Amazon. I'll begin by saying that it wasn't painful, like a lot of things I've found there for free. I think the author has a likeable writing style and she has the potential to whip up a really fun storyline -- but it just didn't quite happen here.I mean, if you've... more read one "fat girl loses all the weight, gets skinny and hence gets beautiful, gets a wonderful guy, but oh of COURSE he would have loved her before -- because it's all about inner beauty -- he just didn't" type story before, haven't you read them all? And this one takes it just a notch further and creates a handsome male lead who just so happens to be in the exact situation as the beautiful lead female, thereby over simplifying an overdone plot even further.The story felt a bit demeaning and insulting -- I mean, give your readers a little credit and add a bit more complexity next time, right? But, I'm sure I would check out another title by this author to see how she handles other subject matters. I didn't dislike her writing overall -- I just wasn't impressed with this particular work in the least. less
