review 1: The Good: It's totally weird that I like Cleo de Nile because she's completely self-absorbed and selfish but I do. I don't know I feel like deep down she's really insecure and that really makes me feel for her. I really liked Lala's dynamic with her father, I think that was a nice touch to the story however the book focus WAY too little on her, even though she's supposed to be the main character really. The Bad:Okay what happened to Frankie? She acted completely superficial and selfish for the majority of the book. I probably would've put her in "the Ugly" section, excepted she redeemed herself in the end by realizing that winning the T'eau Dally competition wasn't important at all. Invisibilly used to be one of my favorite characters, like actually. I wouldn't have minded... more as much if he paired up with Spectra if she wasn't a total lying, rumour-spreading two-face! Like what?! And the only thing I swear he likes about her is her stupid lilac-scented sweat. Oh another bad thing is the fact that the entire book is an advertisement for all things designer. But I'm used to that from all the other MH books. The Horribly Deformed Ugly: Melody and Jackson. Excuse my language but: What. The. Fuck. Okay what hell happened to Melody? She constantly neglecting Jackson and she feels guilty about it but does she do anything about it? NO. And she has the NERVE to say, when they split up, that JACKSON'S being selfish! What?! What?! Whaaaaat?! Sure Jackson could be a bit more supportive of her but Melody's the one who's been swooning over another guy, constantly blowing off her boyfriend and being a total beeyotch in general. I'm totally in for Melody to chase her dreams or whatever but that definitely does not mean, drop everything else in her life. I mean she should've just told Jackson she didn't want to go to Camp Crescendo or whatever but no she waits until everything's rolled into a big ball of dung before she drops it on him. And the end. Ohmygod the fucking end. I'd rather her and Jackson just have a clean break than what happened in the end. He turns himself into fucking DJ to join her on tour. And she's like: He gave up himself. That's the ultimate sacrifice. That's love. It's awesome. WHAT THE HOLY CHEESE BALLS. WHAT. HE GAVE HIMSELF UP FOR YOU TO GO ON A STUPID TOUR AND THAT'S AWESOME? DOES THIS GIRL HAVE ANY MORALS OR DID LISI HARRISON JUST RUN OUT OF IDEAS? Not to mention the fact that Melody made out with Granite numerous times, and its not even resolved? Like what happens now? Who's she dating? Like I said. Melody and Jackson in this book can be summarized into three words: What the fuck?!
review 2: When I got it from the library, I didn't want to read it immediately because I was in denial that this was the final book.I DIDN'T WANT IT TO END! After getting over my denial, I decided to read it.WHAT. THE. HECK?Okay, what happened? Why is the plot in the middle? Why is Frankie Stein so superficial? Why is Melody such a fucking bitch?Draculaura was the only decent character.Basically, Draculaura's father wants to separate the normies from the RADs with a new high school, Frankie wants to be popular oh so badly, and Melody is treating Jackson like crap. That's all I got from it.AND WHAT THE FUCK WHAT'S THAT ENDING? SO FREAKING CONFUSING YET HAPPY BUT REALLY OVER THE PLACE!!I heard that there's a new spin-off, I hope it's better than this. less
