review 1: i don't exactly remember why I had picked up this series during my middle school years. .. and God it sucked. Pages and pages of whiny girls, confused and stupid (not really "kuteeeee" boys, and air bubbles of crap. Each of the clique is a cliché younger version of gossip girls or any other rich/pretty wannabe in the young adult/chick lit market now days. So I tried to read this series, after the clique (and that was pretty bad trust me) but this doesn't do it either. :/ Always, always the recycled ideas of a poor ish/plain girl with either no clue to the jungle of animals and prey and then she eventually learns. (of course) so ehhh, no.
review 2: The second Alphas book by Lisi Harrison is finally here, with a more controlling Shira, more boys, more frien
... mored drama, identity crisis, and just a whole lot of drama in general! The last book ended with the real Allie J. showing up at Alpha Academy and with Alllie A. flabbergasted. In the second book you find out that Allie J. is kind of a b***h to everyone and a total party crasher. Allie A. and Charlie are on-and-off friends throughout the book; Skye gives up trying to impress Mimi and starts focusing more on parties and which Brazille boy is right for her (Sydney or Taz?); and Charlie turns off Shira's cameras for a while, finds a crush, and talks to Darwin (I won't tell you the details, you'll have to read this book to find out for yourself...) less
