review 1: Really better than what I expected.I liked the investigation and spying context. I liked that the characters involved in the story were far from perfect, though in a way were all likable or understandable. The first encounters with Tristan did not bode well, but I really enjoyed seeing his transformation and coming back to a world with feelings and not only pleasure of the senses. The heroine sometimes seemed a bit too stubborn, but she never overdid it, nor went into the realm of TSTL behavior. A very pleasant reading which was extremely difficult to put back on the bedstand or in my handbag.

... mored for it in such different ways! What a realistic twist to the solving of Phaedra's mystery. And the ending was totally satisfying and made everything fall in place without being too pat.And of course there's the delightful friend, Zoe, who MUST have her own book. I want it! less
