review 1: I'm currently meal planning from this book and truly it is pretty good as far as diet cookbooks go. I have enjoyed one gimmick from the plan which is to make a batch of flavoured water every day (lemon, cucumber, mint) and this one habit has truly helped me to drink much more water during the day than I ever have previously. Additional recipes are very very easy, and because the premise is to never eat more than 400 calories per meal, the dishes are well balanced and satisfying. And the bottom line? I have lost weight from the book, 2 lbs and counting. I really didn't give it five stars because I think the title is silly and some of the jargon in the book is off putting.Recipes of note:Salmon burgerJerk chicken saladTuna saladLentil goat cheese salad
review 2:
... moreconfession time. I did the 4 day jump-start on a recommendation from a yoga instructor. The sassy water all combined is disgusting, but each individual component on it's own is fine. I can't say I'll continue everything in the book forever, but the concept isn't the worst out there, and frankly, the jump-start DID help me re-evaluate portion sizes and actually "think" about what was going in my mouth and why. I'd do it again. It was tough for sure, but anyone can do anything for 4 days if I made it. less
