review 1: Num maravilhoso cenário de neve no norte da Suécia, deparamo-nos com mais um policial daqueles que valem a pena. Não precisamos de ler muitas páginas para simpatizarmos com a protagonista, que nos conquista com a sua simplicidade e defeitos. Apesar da maior dos capítulos não terem muita ação a história é certinha e agarra-nos. O final não é arrebatador nem é daqueles livros que ficamos com pena de acabar. Mas também não desilude. Foi a minha estreia na autora e vou estar atenta às suas novas publicações.
review 2: I have to say I am ambivalent about this book. It's the first one I have read by Marklund, and I have really been enjoying the Scandinavian authors the last couple of years. For some reason I trudged through the book, couldn't read t... moreoo much at once. But some of the descriptive phrasing in the book was absolutely gorgeous. Perhaps it almost seemed like the language was too beautiful for the plot. Hard to explain. I found myself pausing over some clauses, rolling them around on my tongue like fine wine. But I still felt like I was slogging through the book. I'll probably give her another chance though. less
