review 1: I don't know where to start with this review. This book was so graphic and the story was so horrible, I never wish anyone to go through what Mia went through. However, I am disappointed the author decided to make a series of novellas. I felt certain parts of this novella were too drawn out, while others were too short. I wish the story was one complete novel that I could read from start to finish. I want to know what happens to Mia and what she decides to do, however I do not see me purchasing the rest of the series to actually find out.
review 2: This book is very different to any other I have read. For one main reason the major event in the book, the base of the story, Mia getting sexually assaulted. I was moved throughout the book, at how her family treated
... more her and that they tried to cover everything up. I couldn't imagine going through what Mia went through, I wouldn't wish it upon anyone. This is one off the most heartbreaking books I have ever read but I was also extremely proud of Mia and how she stood up and did the right thing. My favorite character has to be Dom the police man assigned to her case, I love how he cares for her when her whole family clearly don't. He wants her to do the right thing from the get go but she is stopped by her family. I love him, to be honest, he is an amazing character and throughout you can tell he really cares for her and wants what's best for her even if It's hard to come forward. My favorite scene has to be the last one between Dom and Mia in the court house, when they joke about and he said in two weeks when she turn 18 they can cross the 'line'. I believe they will, well fingers crossed 'cause they are so cute together. I was horrified when I read the part where she was sexually assaulted, I wanted to skip ahead but knowing I would miss something important if I did, so I read through it with tears in my eyes. I felt sorry for her best friend Ari, because she blamed herself for not going with her but I love how she convinces Ari it wasn't her fault. I don't like how her father's PR woman tells Mia she shouldn't have been at the party drinking and using fake ID but she didn't deserve that. No one does! I have to give Chloe Adams a round of applause for creating an amazing book, the story is heartbreaking but you can't stop reading to see what happens next. Hats are off and flying for Chloe and I for one can not wait for book two! Would love a ARC copy because it's nail biting waiting to see what's about to happen!!! less

Not sure what is more heartbreaking, the rape that Mia endures or the reaction from her family.

I've been pulled into this series. It's a poignant story and I must know how it ends.
