review 1: Cooper’s Fall by Lora LeighFormer ranger turned bar owner Ethan Cooper never expected to get an eyeful of prim Miss Sarah Fox from his attic window one hot summer afternoon. But now his blood is on fire for the delicious little minx.OK story. Didn't really seem to be much of a plot, just lots of bedroom action.Luring Lucy by Lori FosterAll Lucy was looking for when she went to her vacation home was in innocent fling to quell the yearning she had felt since her husband died four years ago. She never expected her longtime friend Bram to lure her into a love affair so hot.I liked this one a little better. Lucy is ready to move on after her cheating husband's death and is looking for a short fling. Family friend Bram has been in love with her all along and is determined s... morehe won't be "flinging" with anyone but him.The Edge of Sin by Cheyenne McCrayZane Steele lives a life of extraordinary danger as a government agent and has never let anyone get too close. Then he sees the one woman who changes his life forever.Zane has avoided any kind of relationships because of the dangers of his job. When he meets Willow that starts to change right away. He can't get her off his mind. I really liked her attitude that she's quite capable of making up her mind who to be with and how to protect herself from danger. I really loved the basketball game with Zane's brothers and sister. Wanted: A Real Man by Heidi BettsClaire left her high school sweetheart Linc, in search of a better life. Ten years later she needs his help as a U.S. Marshal to find her missing daughter…Linc's daughter. Reeling with the knowledge of a daughter he’s never known, Linc sets out to claim what’s his. This one seemed to have the most plot to the story rather than just an excuse to get the characters into bed. Claire's ex-husband has taken her daughter threatening to arrange to get sole custody even though he isn't her biological father. Claire goes to Linc, who is the father though he doesn't know it, for help finding her. Though justifiably angry he immediately enlists fellow marshals to help. Spending time with Claire makes him realize he's never forgotten her. I liked the fact that they actually did some talking to resolve their pasts.
review 2: Once again another collection were I skipped the last story. Children in the story aren't my thing. They should be adults and peripheral to the main story. So Luring Lucy, I liked even though I thought that Bram was a bit pushy. Yes he is in love with Lucy and of course she cares for him and has the hots for him but I seriously understood why she didn't want to jump into another committed relationship. The last one sucked badly and she has the right to want to take it slow and consider her kids in the process. Even though Bram is close to the kids does not mean that he has the right to want marriage just because he has been waiting forever. So that annoyed me about his character. He waited out of respect at first but then he just waited...out of fear, maybe? That's his problem not hers. Cooper's Fall was good fun. I liked Miss Sarah a lot even though I was surprised at the amount of piercings she has. Cooper was also a fun character as well. Miss Sarah wants to break loose and embrace the whole of herself and her sexuality. Cooper thinks he's too bad and not worthy of Miss Sarah. He seriously wants to have lots of sexy fun times with no committments and Miss Sarah wants Cooper, period. They both have traumas in their pasts that makes it hard for them to completely connect to others. The story was fun with a plot twist that I should have spotted but I didn't. The Edge of Sin was just funny. It was so random that two people meet and are so hot for each other and honest about it that they are practically sexing while they walk. Zane is a top secret government bad ass of some sort. Willow is working on her Ph.D. while working at Macy's part time. She has a cousin that has recently passed away who worked with Zane. There's not much to say about this story other than they were super honest with each other and I appreciated the way that Willow just said what she thought and wanted and kept Zane on his toes. Wanted: A Real Man just didn't work for me. I read the first few pages and I just wasn't in the mood for a story of popular chick does guy she cared about in high school dirty but somehow there is a miracle baby that dude didn't know about. Like I said early, I don't like stories with kids (or dogs) in them because I don't connect to that experience. less

Loved all the stories but one. Cooper's Fall was my favorite, followed closely by Luring Lucy.
