review 1: Quick read about Jack, a wealthy venture capitalist who could lose his company if he doesn't marry by his 35th birthday. Kelly, a would-be Yale law student sweeps in to save the day, as it were, and marries him, even though he doesn't know her and she and his temp secretary just cooked up the idea at lunch.Of course because they've thrown themselves together in this sham of a marriage, they have to live together and prove to others that it's real... and they fall for each other, but not before she's kidnapped by a human trafficking ring. Yes, that's right. And I'm not giving anything away since there's a prologue that gives this all away. The writing was simplistic and shallow. What seemed to be complicated issues were wrapped up in the simplest of ways. This was forgett... moreable.
review 2: This was a decent read, but there was really nothing special about it for me that made me fall in love with it. Pretty well written though a bit corny at times, it is a common plot with an intriguing subplot that is used to kick the recognition of love into action. I do like how badass Kelly became when she was faced with the terrible problem, but other than that, I wasn't blow away by this book as being anything overly unique. If I hadn't read other books with an incredibly similar plot line that I think were written a bit better, I would probably like this one more. Sorry, nothing truly against the book, it's just not unique enough for me. =/ less
