review 1: Whew. That was short but definitely hot enough to survive in that too cold weather, or rather good enough for it to be worth reading. For the reason that it is good, it would be nice to witness that kind of passion and love much longer. Would it be too much to expect more from them in book 3? It is too short! If I'm not mistaken, she didn't even call him by his first name. Sigh* I just wanted to know more about that selfless man, who had no qualms in giving up his chance to be happy for her to have a choice in her own happiness.
review 2: This is a novella, but there still has to be some depth and growth and fundamentally this was just way too short. And I have to admit, I'm used to reading novellas that seem so much longer than this one. Maybe they're the same
... more length, but fundamentally I paid 5 bucks for what amounted to 50 pages on my e-reader (it's an 80 page file and the last twenty-five or so are previews etc). If those pages had been amazing, fine. But the characters and the love story fell completely flat for me. I didn't know anything about either character except that the hero had tried to be honorable once. It just didn't work for me. less
