review 1: I remember reading this book roughly a year ago and it's a really neat and quick read, if you're into the zombie fiction genre a lot. It's not so much a "book" in the sense that there's a linear or somewhat linear storyline but rather a series upon series of short notes all jammed together from start to finish with no real clear cut path of what ending laid to rest from the "fictional notes" of said survivors that made it into an archive "presumably" recovered from the remnants of humanity that survived the outbreak and have restored order in the world. It begins abruptly and ends just as abruptly and you're left with this icky feeling that everyone who wrote these notes died. Some of these notes were just plain hilarious though and I found those tidbits amusing enough for... more me to finish it.
review 2: It's definitely very cool the way in which this graphic novel uses multiple sources, and narrators, to describe the zombie apocalypse, but it's kind of a been-there-done-that storyline. Plus, I never felt empathy or a human connection to anything in the book. It was just ho-hum, as I paged through the creative images. At the end, there's a URL that people can submit their images to the zombie project- this sounds exciting and I'm very much looking forward to the final version. less

This was so much fun. It was like my MFA thesis during the apocalypse, loved it.

Equal parts art & storytelling. Imaginative & appropriately disturbing.

Cute concept; a fun diversion. A bit repetitive.

This was probably actually a 2.5.
