review 1: I loved this book, quirky, intelligent, gripping and just enough of a love story to make it enjoyable as opposed to cringe worthy. This was the first book I have read with this topic so it was unique and great to just absorb myself in - there was even a few surprises thrown in, which were unexpected as I am usually quite good at guessing the direction of thrillers! Overall a brilliant read and I would recommend it to anyone who can handle a little bit of rough and ready topics in a mix of a love, lust and death.
review 2: Not bad at all. Preferred previous two but that's not to say this isn't good. Similar to Robin Cooks work ( an old fave of mine) -a good thriller but certain aspects grated on me ie Kate's tendency to palm her son off on her sister even thoug
... moreh she'd thought he'd been abducted only the day before. And the twin thing didnt work for me. But I really like this authors style and there's one more ( All Fall Down) which I haven't read and I fully intend to. Magpies, by this author , was outstanding less

Good book. A bit long winded in places, but it gets to the point pretty quickly. Pleasant read
