review 1: I'd give this book 4 stars, but it has a little too much detail in the love scenes for me. Great story, though I've heard it before, this one had a some little twists. Girl gives up her virtue to a Lord, and then interference tears them apart. Years later, they are thrown back together, without knowing the bad person between them interfered. I thought the writing was good. My interest was engaged the entire book. The love scenes have a little detail, (more than I like) then comes back hours later or the morning after.
review 2: This book is basically a soap opera without all the bouncing around between stories. Think Days of Our Lives or The Young and the Restless. There is a horrible villan that is truly easy to loath... like a soap operaThere are also painfu
... morelly obvious parts where you just want the heroine to say the obvious. It's even comedic without meaning to be when the author talks about how large the heros junk is. (insert disappointing shake of the head)I'm not a fan of the Baroque era and the dandy way the men and women dressed up, so it was necessary for me to try to erase the picture the author painted of outfits. less

Love the story-line....slow moving and characters sometimes hard to keep straight but a good read.
