review 1: Really enjoyed this installment to the series!! Looks like things are heating up and war is coming. Eirik and Ciara had a lot to overcome in this book, but everything came right in the end. Why do they always try to resist the mating bond? It's so futile. The secondary romance between Lais and Mairie was equally sweet to watch unfold. I'm really looking forward to finding some members of the long-lost Paindeal soon.
review 2: Awesome addition to the Children Of The Moon series. The fourth story in this series features Eirik ( dragon / raven shifter) & Ciara ( wolf shifter) . Ciara was traumatized after watching her beloved brother getting incinerated by a dragon after he & his friend threatened two young raven shifters. After her mother kills herself th... moreat same night a despondant Ciara is sent to foster with the Sinclair clan ( Talorc & Abigail from Moon Craving ) . Fast forward several years to a grown up but guarded Ciara coming face to face with the man she blames for both her brother & mother's deaths. Prince Eirik was only protecting his people that fateful day. Yet he regrets taking the lives of his fellow Crecht. No matter how vile their actions. Most of all he regrets the fear that he believes will prevent a mating between him & Ciara. However, his first duty is to his people. Ciara & Eirik fight the powerful attraction that rages between them. She because of her vow never to love again. He because of his mistrust as well as his duty to the Ean. Ciara is a seer who is being haunted by her visions to the point of collapse. It is discovered that she is a direct decsendent of the Royal family & a rare kelle, the keeper of the Faolchie Chridhe sacred stone of the Faol . Led by Ciara's visions, she & her dragon embark on a quest to find the sacred stone & save the Faol from the coming disaster. Along the way they find love, forgiveness & acceptance. I loved this emotionally riveting tale of romance between enemies. The various sub-plots between other characters kept the story interesting. This fast paced adventure gave me two of my favorite elements for a great read : Highlanders & shifters. Eirik & Ciara's story was so amazing & heartfelt that I could not put this book down . I loved reading about the Chrecht history. I am curious as to when Monroe will finally give us a story with the missing Paindeal ( cat shifters) . Although, thanks to the teasing excerpt at the end, I am already dying to read Warrior's Moon, the next book in the series coming in March 2013 . Sounds like a second chance at love story. Goody!
