review 1: I looked forward to picking up this book at every chance I had to get some reading time in. It has an eye opening view of the homeless that affects both young and old people which had me re-thinking my charity contributions for this year. I'm interested to see how Lucian will handle loving and holding on to Evelyn as she begins to grow in both mind and experiences thru him. The sex described in this book helped make this a truly adult read that I found steamy!
review 2: I can't decide if I like or love this book, I wish that I could rate the whole series vs the book alone. I think what i am struggling with is that the story is a bit to cinderella-ish for me. Lucian (aka billionaire hotel owner) falls for the poor maid Evelyn/Scout. I know this is fiction, bu... moret I like reading something that I can actually picture happening in real life. Having said all that, the story has alot of heart breaking moments for Evelyn, the life she has is down right horrible. There is a twist at the end which leads to the next book. less
