review 1: 3.5 stars. This book has not been published in the US but I was able to get a copy through Inter Library Loan. This book has a problem I have seen before in books from the UK. It has an American character and briefly an American setting. British authors apparently think they know all about the US and put words in a character's mouth that an American would be unlikely to say. I have provided specific examples in the discussion for this book. I thought the story was ok but not as well written as it might have been.

'Wrongful Death' is the first of the Anna Travis novels I have read so I am very late to the party but I found that the author made it easy for new readers to engage with the series. The plot line and the characters were strong but I must admit I found the book a little long. less
