review 1: This is the first in the Demon Warriors series, which is an offshoot from Lynn Hagen's Brac Pack series, which I got sucked into a couple years ago. The demons facinated me in that series, and we find out more about them in Hondo, the first of the new series. Demons live in a sort of parallel world, similar to ours, except it's always night because demon's corporeal bodies fade in sunlight. When demons visit the human world, they do it only at night and they use shadows to move from place to place. The demons seem almost ordinary at first, using cell-phones, eating pasta and visiting the Devil-Mart, but they're far from human! Although I found this book entertaining and Lynn Hagen has a wonderful imagination and sense of humor, the writing itself isn't spectacular. Demo... moren warriors are the law enforcement of the demon world, and each of the warriors has a special power. Some of the demon criminals are kind of predictable and like to suck souls out of other beings, but some of the are much worse than that. Even so, Chris has always wanted to be a warrior, and he idolizes them, hanging around them as much as possible. He especially enjoys hanging around with Hondo, because he's fallen in love with him. Hondo, of course, thinks of Chris as a buddy. This book tells the story of their romance. (Obviously, if you're homophobic or just not into reading about two guys together, avoid this book). The characters are likable and the plot is fast-paced, as most of Lynn Hagen's books. If you can overlook some typos and grammatical errors, and the rather odd description of Hondo as an "Egyptian" warrior, you'll probably enjoy this book.
review 2: typical lynn hagen serial romance. nothing fantastic, nothing so bad it can't be finished. what is typical lynn hagen? imagine a shorter harlequin romance but with no t&a (see, i was going to write no surprise pregnancies, but... yeah.). out of sheer laziness, i will be using this as my template for all books by :lynn hagenstormy glennscarlett hyacinthcarol lynnegabrielle evansunless otherwise noted. i'd apologize, but i'm not sorry. i figure it's about as much time as they put into their books. dammit! well, i made it all the way to the end being rather moderate in my assessment. that's a win. less

Blah...felt like it wasn't a m/m pairing, more of an f/f pairing.
