review 1: finished. what a waste I feel with this one. felt like it was a big filler with some important things sorta kinda thrown in there and then... the end. kinda annoyed. there was no satisfaction. I didnt like lester or harley they were boring as individuals and boring as a couple. the end... I feel like a d-bag but thought I be honest. I (me) did not enjoy this at all.I rounded up because of some of the "important stuff that was thrown in" for the next installment and I found midly entertaining enough. 1.99 stars
review 2: Read by MM Good Book Reviews: Lynn just keeps coming up with some really awesome stories. This is book nine in this series and they need to be read in order. To have a true understanding you really should start with the Brac Pack. It branches o... moreff into several different series that mix together. It will give you an insight into each character and their amazing world. A world that will drag you in and keep you wanting more. Lester has always wanted people to understand him and someone who will take him away from a life he doesn't really want. He goes to work and then spends time with his friends doing the neighborhood watch. Let me tell you they have a great imagination. He meets a sexy man but isn't sure if Harley really would want someone like him.Harley is a vampire in Christian's Coven and works at the Manacle. The Manacle is a club for humans and vampires, and Harley is basically what you would normally call a bouncer. However what he truly does is scrub the human's minds so that they don't remember that they play with vampires. He met Lester and knew that he was his mate, but work has taken him from spending time with his mate. That is until Lester finds him at the Manacle.Lester and Harley are enjoying themselves, that is until Lester finds out that Harley is a vampire. Now he has to show him that they will not harm him. He finds that Lester is what he has always wanted. He loves hanging with Lester's friends. He thinks it is time for a change that is for sure. Then Vick thinks that this sweet ninety something old woman is a sleeper cell, so when they find out that Vick is right things get even freakier. It shows Lester a new world just waiting on him. Now if they can just keep everyone alive from the dangers that are showing up.I loved this book and can not wait for the next book to come out. Lynn has always been one of my favorite authors who gives you the paranormal. Paranormal stories have always interested me and when you add in romance, sexy men, excitement and danger I am sure to get it. I can honestly say that I have read every book written in this series and the others probably more than a dozen times. This is the first time reading this book and I can tell you that I will read this just as many times as the others. It caught my attention from the start and kept it all the way to the end. I would recommend reading this book especially if you love all that I have mentioned and so much more. less
