review 1: This might be the craziest book I've ever read. It really was a psychological thriller. There were so many twists and turns. The plot is solid, and several times I found myself recoiling in surprise and/or horror, or gasping in shock. The characters were real and multilayered, and the author's writing style flits from personality to personality while making them believable. I couldn't put it down towards the end, and I even found myself hoping the bad guy would outrun his demons. You won't regret reading this, if you can withstand a glimpse into perversion and darkness.
review 2: Persona... A horrible, dark, violent book. When I read the first opening chapters, I had no idea where I was, which character was what, with whom, why, or what the hell was going on;
... morebut then I suppose that's how it is when you're in the head of a psychopath; a man called Ryan or Zen, or...! A mine, something hidden, explosive, could detonate at anytime, if not deactivated.Persona: A horrible dark, violent book. And I loved it. I loved it for its black humour and its daring. It should, could become a classic, a cult classic if enough people 'get' it. less

I'm sorry I was confused in the first 7% of the book and couldn't get into it.
