review 1: The childhood stories of Dusty's antics were hilarious! They deserve a novella of their very own. I'm consistently amazed by this author's capability to weave a story- to make the reader feel as though she were really living the life on a dusty ranch- the never ending work for both men and women, the life centered around cattle, the town socials..The conflict wasn't as well detailed as I would've liked, and Dusty's constant blow hot-blow cold moods were disheartening in the end. So 1 star off for that. And as is trademark McClure, lots of swoon-worthy romantic scenes.
review 2: This was my first Marcia McClure book. I really should've stopped there, but at that stage of my life Kindle freebies were hard to resist. I'm tougher and pickier now. Old West romance:
... moreSelf-hating heroine has love/hate relationship with the guy she loved who left and has now come back several years later. Stolen kisses and purple prose abound.Sorry to all my friends who love Marcia! less
