review 1: Rounded up from 1.5 starsI love a good fairy-tale retelling and I have always loved Beauty and the Beast however I wasn't so impressed by this mostly because of random spelling mistake which took me out of the story, names which were really jarring and the fact that the hero didn't really seem to actually like the heroine for a good chunk of the book. Plus the fact that there was a section of the book where Coquette was being drugged to make her think that he had taken her while she was unconscious. Umm, obviously consent seems not to be a thing here.
review 2: Sorry, but I detest idiotic heroines who love creeps that mistreat them!Couldn't stand either the TSTL ("TOO Stupid To Live") heroine nor the mental-case hero. No love story here,and no resolution unti... morel the very last few pages,makes for a totally aggravating read!Lowest rating I've ever given a book by Marcia McClure,but this one totally disappointed me.Read-"Dusty Britches","A Crimson Frost", or "The Highwayman Of Tanglewood", instead! less
