review 2: I absolutely LOVED this book and Mrs. Richards will HAVE to get us at least a few copies for the classroom library. The story is told in verse form from the point of view of the boy, Tony and alternately, the point of view of the dog, Gabe. This is a tough subject matter and there is much to ta... morelk about concerning characters behavior and the plot. Animal lovers, dog lovers in particular, will love this book.
