Finding the lost Audrey – Book Review of “Finding Audrey” by Sophie Kinsella
I was walking through mounts and mounts of books in the library, when I finally spotted the book “Finding Audrey” by Sophie Kinsella. The first Question that popped in to my mind was, what’s this story about? I was totally interested about this piece of fiction. I normally skim through the back cover of the book to get an overall idea about the story, but at that moment I didn’t want to. I wanted to read the book and find it out my self!!! So here I am…….
The story unwinds about the life of a young girl called Audrey who was diagnosed with anxiety and depression because she was bullied in school. She undergo a series of therapies and medication, in fact her therapist encourages her pretty much to face life. She does not wish to keep eye contact, so she hides her eyes behind a pair of dark glasses. Her dark glasses and her den becomes her own refuge.
With the support of her family and her new cute crush Linus, she builds back her life. Filled with lots of love, fun and humor, Sophie Kinsella proves her writing ability once again.
This novel is a great and charming story that will definitely entertain the reader, no matter what age they are. Lastly it encourages us to think about some heavy and hard topics that affect the children of the novice society.
My rating ;
