review 1: I selected this book at the library because I had recently read the author's Newbery winning book The Heart of a Samurai. I'm so glad I did because it is an amazing historical fiction book that I would recommend to middle grade boys starting in Grade 4. I learned so much about the German occupation of Norway during WWII. The book has plenty of tension because so many characters you care about are working for the Norwegian Resistance.
review 2: I really enjoyed reading this book. Based on true events and indivduals I was hooked from begining to end. I would recommend this book to middle school readers and above. Anyone interested in WWII would enjoy this story.
