review 2: I'm afraid this book never really "took off" for me. The main character Gwenni came across as sweet but annoying and the rest of the characters were all unlikeable and mean spirited. The story was pretty non existent and there was no mystery to be solved about the missing man. All Gwenni... more did in her investigation was to ask the neighbours. By the end of the book nothing was resolved and all I felt was disappointment that I'd wasted my time reading a pointless story. less
