review 1: Got this based on the sample download, which sounded intriguing. The author writes well, her wording was elegant, the characters were well defined and the setting/ worldview imaginative.Unfortunately, the downloaded sample was not very indicative of the content, which is primarily erotica rather than fantasy. One of the reviews implied sex scenes but did not indicate the graphic nature of the descriptions. I am not a puritan, but I simply don't enjoy extremely graphic descriptions and I prefer more fantasy and storyline than erotica. Just not my type of thing and in fact, gave up on it.
review 2: I really enjoyed this book but did not realize it's #4. I will definitely check out the rest. This is a fun story taking place in a world where there are witches , w... morearlocks and shifters. However, Mallory, a witch and kick-ass heroine, travels to a new world in an alternate dimension and meets the love of her life, Core, and finds out his "true self" is a snake. He is not a shifter a new race for me. HIs world also has vampire like creatures. All in all, it is a new twist on the paranormal for me and a hot, sexy read. less
