review 1: What a story! There were many ups and downs throughout the book that kept the story engaging. I found a lot of the book quite funny as well as sweet. I enjoyed how clues were slowly put together as we went along and in the end everyone ended up where they needed to be. We also had a sneak peak of the Duke and how he interacted with his brothers and best friend. This was the first book I read in the series even tho it is out of order. I will certainly read the rest of them. Great find!
review 2: I won a free pdf from the author so I really wanted to love this book so that I could give her a glowing review. It is book #2 in a series, but I have not read book #1. I don't think it seemed to matter... I never felt confused. It starts off well, I was interested from
... morethe beginning. My first thoughts as I read were that there were some cheesy parts that didn't seem believable. For instance, the main character gets separated from her family and experiences memory loss. She happens to be helped by a man whose brother was lost and also experienced memory loss. A bit too coincidental in my opinion. My second thought was that there were so many typo errors throughout the book. I wondered if it was still in the editing process, but I see that it is currently for sale so I guess it's done. The errors distracted from the storytelling. My third complaint was that there was too much sensuality for a regency romance. Granted, it would still technically be called "clean," but usually these romances are all about the desire and less about passionate kissing with moans and sighs. The gentleman wasn't too much of a gentleman. He continually kisses a servant (despite saying he didn't want to be that kind of man) behind closed doors. Didn't gentlemen back then keep doors open when alone with a woman? But all of that aside, I did still want to continue reading to find out what happens. It was mostly a fun read it just could have been better. less

This would be a 4 star if it hadn't dragged so much at the end.
