review 1: Absolutely loved it! Steam punk at its best! I was looking for something that was in some way similar to Douglas Adams. I wanted something humourous and entertaining. This definitely fit the bill and more. It was unpredictable and really interesting. The characters are well written and likeable. It was a great escape. It was also totally weird. review 2: Entertaining and fun read in alternate Victorian/steam-punk type reality. ... moreen a few other cameos that I won't spoil for everyone. Heck, even Spring Heeled Jack is a "real" paranormal Victorian thing. The story starts w/ the failed assignation attempt on Queen Victoria in 1850 by Edward Oxford, only in this alternate reality it was a success. Chaos ensues, and Spring Heeled Jack is involved, time travel, and multiple realities. Sounds cool, but not very interesting or complex overall, and the ending was so so. less
