Burton & Swinburne
review 1: Fast-paced action-packed Victorian steampunk stuffed full of historical figures, London fog, and weird cool technologies. Sometimes, that's just what you need. Through in some parallel universes and insanity for fun. Burton was exactly the kind of main character you'd expect--a well-traveled man of the world with a talent for fighting and not much in the way of internal conflict. Swinburne was the manic pixie dream boy type that can go from amusing to exasperating in a moment; he stayed amusing. Will read the other books in the series.
review 2: Well I didn't know how to expect of the book, took it for the cover.. and there's a saying, "Don't judge a book by its cover" well I did. Started and how the words painted the plot pulled me in, keep reading wanting to
