review 1: Good, but not great. The set-up is good, but not great. Not a lot of depth to the characters like there often is in Millar's work. This is the troubled youth. This is the bad mother. This the abusive step-father. This is the super spy.If you can read it free (i.e. from the library), it's worth an hour of reading time.If not, wait for the movie.*The movie will be called Kingsmen: the Secret Service.
review 2: Recommended to me by a friend.What a great story! With the movie coming out, this has been on my radar, but to know almost nothing about it, and read it first? Very surprised.Premise is simple, but has elements that set it apart. The cameos in the movie will be crazy, and I can't wait to see what they do with the "mass wedding on the beach" scene.
