review 1: The title didn't grab me, but when I saw it listed else where, I went back and got it. I enjoy reading wordless books, and this didn't disappoint. William and I had fun watching the little brother, so I was happy that he was important in the resolution. I liked the details in the background, like the neighbor's pictures and items in her garage. Wondering if they are connected to another work by the author based on the title.
review 2: This endearing wordless book tells the tale of a young girl who sees a beautiful green bicycle in the window of a local store. She runs home to count the money she has saved but upon realization that it isn't enough, embarks on a number of tasks at home and in the neighbourhood to raise the money she needs to purchase the cove... moreted cycle. This story ends on a surprising note, for both the reader and the girl in the story. So much of this terrific tale is conveyed through the images only, which makes it a pleasant alternative to one with words. less
