review 1: Don’t let the title fool you. I think the series is up to seven books, not including the third half step. Michael’s zombie saga continues. Rather than provide a summary of what happens, go back, read the first book in the series, and enjoy. The crazy thing is that as much as I think I won’t like the next addition, I always do. It’s a solid 5 stars for me, because somehow, you can’t help but fall in love with the family and root for their survival. It’s zombie with a quirky twist. Yes, you should read from the beginning. Tufo does not do the best job at creating standalone titles, and no, don’t read if you have a weak stomach. Violence? Maybe, but it’s more the gory aftermath that’s an issue for weak abdomens. Tufo never goes excessive unless it has an imp... moreact. Read it if you’re a zombie fan! You will not be disappointed, but again, start from the beginning of the series.
review 2: Mark Tufo you've done it again....I just dont know where he gets this genius ideas from let alone makes them work seamlessly into the storyline. Each book continues from the next with Mike struggling to keep his family and close group of friends safe and Henry the farting bulldog of course; who comes into his own in this book...and gets a friend....I love this dog (...see even the animals had fantastic characters)..This full novel is slightly slower paced to allow us to catchup from ZF #2 and the group try and recover from their losses. After #1 and #2 we know the characters and really feel for them as you become so emotionally attached to them all. Mark has created some fab characters who we can relate to, maybe not like, but most certainly relate to and we get to meet some new ones too. Some unique parts of the book are noticing slight changes with some of the zombies; are they actually planning and stalking their prey as the bug starts to mutate. As well as zombies and rednecks being controlled by the evil Eliza (the 500 year old zombie vampire); so they are fighting zombies and humans. How far will she go to kill Mike as all he wants to do is to get back to his family in Maine and Mark manages to throw something at Mike and his group at every corner. I love how its not a breeze to escape everytime. You feel the heartache and pain; this excellent descriptive writing puts you right there.....can you hear that zombie behind you...what was that noise downstairs...?The final cliffhanger leaves us finding more about Tommy and Eliza and her plan for the Talbot family; but we still dont know why and this makes this book series even more fascinating. This is my favorite ALLTIME....yes I said alltime zombie series and if you are a zombie-holic you need to start from book 1 and dont stop reading. less

Really enjoy the story. I like how it mixes the diary format with others perspectives.
