Incorruptible
review 1: The flip side to Irredeemable...this one focuses on when the #1 Bad Guy goes legit, in response to the #1 Good Guy going apeshit crazy bad.I like what I see so far and great potential set up, especially the idea of what makes us hero/villain and what can change that. Looking forward to more, great artwork as well, gritty enough but still fun. This is more of an Anti-Hero so far...but I like where it's going.
review 2: This is a strange one. It's set in the same universe as Irredeemable, intended as a sort of companion piece. But the plot rarely crosses over with Irredeemable and the smaller scale of the story makes it seem less important. The brilliant thing about Irredeemable is that explains how a hero could turn evil in a believable way. Incorruptible is
... more supposed to show a villain becoming good, but to me the evil and good versions of the character are never reconciled. Also the story seems to operate with a far less nuanced morality. The villains are cartoon racists. In this story, having sex with a 16 year old girl is not just illegal (this America where the age of consent is 31 or something) but is actually immoral and is used to demonstrate to reader how evil the character is. less

This is what happens when Superman finally realizes that people are ungrateful. Then he goes nuts.

A fun, original story, held back by art that is at best mediocre and at worst confusingly bad.
