review 1: If you are looking for Jury, this is not the book for you. Rather this is a satirical mystery based on the publishing industry in New York, as two " hit men" join with their friends to help a rather confused author get out from under a crooked publisher. Too many characters and too many twists and turns make thus hard to follow, but I must admit that I had to keep reading to see what would happen to all the characters.
review 2: Very cute, manic satire of the book industry in New York. Do-gooder hit men Candy and Karl decide they must help a damsel in distress....Cindy Sella, who is being sued over a never-used clause in a book contract by her former agent, who wants a cut of her book, even though he never did anything to sell it. But instead of performing ... morethe actions of their profession, they decide upon a series of zany schemes to drive him crazy and also out of New York. I found it kind of hard to follow, since I was only reading it in spurts, but it was so silly and entertaining, I stuck with it, and enjoyed it. less
