review 1: I'm not exactly sure who may have told me about this book or if I saw it while "browsing" through Goodreads but I am a fan of Jane Austen and have this "thing" for anything about witches or vampires. As I am a fan of Mary Balough and Colleen Gleason, I thought I'd give it a read. I thoroughly enjoyed the departure from their normal writing style (other than Colleen, who has written of vampires) and that there were innuendoes of Jane Austen characters in the stories. Diehard Jane fans may not care for it unless they are willing to step out of their comfort zones. I, though, am glad that I checked it out.
review 2: Ok...to say this anthology is merely bad...unbelievable! I think that this has permanently cured me of ever picking up another anthology book. I
... more am usually diaappointed in the stories in them because they are so shallow and undeveloped but this one in addition to being everything an anthology usually is, is unbelievably horrid! I read three of the four stories, started the fourth and decided that I had no more time to waste on this book. I will not be finishing the fourth story. Thank goodness I found it in the clearance section at Half Price Books for $1. But even so, I feel that I lost and wasted money on this deal. less
