review 1: I only read one story in the book:1,2,4,6,7,9 but i really liked it and sections one, six and nine are constant so all eight stories end the same way. The ending is the everyone-lives-happily-ever-after-type so if you don't like those sort of tales this is definitely not for you. But it is definitely a different take on the sleeping beauty story and I like the idea of it. Hope you enjoy the book if you decide to read it!
review 2: Fun! Loved the concept and McGown's writing really made this story. I was torn about the "choose your own adventure" concept, though. On the one hand, I loved stories like this when I was a kid-- loved interacting with the story and having a say in what would happen. But on the other hand, I would have liked to have seen the story all... more the way through as the author envisioned it. I'm hopeful for a re-release some day. less
