This is a little mini-review of my re-read of The Charmer. The first time I read The Charmer I was still in high school. I was probably 15 at the time. Well, I’m currently 22 so it’s been seven years since I’ve last read The Charmer.
Overall the Charmer is a short read, I think I finished reading The Charmer in only 2 hours, maybe? The plot of the story is fast as well.
I enjoyed reading Jasmine’s story again. I think that my only wish were that the rest of the series was told in Jasmine’s point of view as well. — The rest of the series is told in different views of the exact same time line that The Charmer is told in.

I was quickly laughing in this novel. I was legitimately laughing within the first 2 pages.
After that, the action started pretty quickly. We’re swept up in yet another one of the Supernaturals’ problems that have somehow involved Mercy. Trouble really does have a way of finding Mercy wherever she goes.
Something that I enjoyed in Silence Fallen is that there are two points of view between Mercy and Adam; even though Mercy has more chapters than Adam.
I don’t really like the way that this books’ timeline was set up. I appreciated the attempt of the effect though.
I, in no way shape or form expected what happened at the end of this book. What happened was both heartwarming and a little heartbreaking.
I gave Silence Fallen 2 of 5 stars on Goodreads. I still love reading the Mercy Thompson novels….I just feel as though Briggs is forcing the series to go on.
