review 1: Awesome book! This book was so action packed. But from the time the people of Lethe said that Lark's brother had been there before and he must of started the whole town. I was like he is prometheus. There is no other way he would be dumb enough to get himself by anyone. He was really smart. So the whole book I'm sitting there like its him Basil is prometheus. But the great had alot of new charecters in it and Lark and oren got together which I was very happy about. I liked Tansy I thought she was a good person until we find out she has been sending word back to Lark's hometown about were she is going and what she is doing. But in the end tansy die's which made me alittle sad because I don't think she should of died but than again she wasn't an important character so she wa... moresn't really needed for the rest of the book to go on. But the funny thing is that the author brought back nix the pixie I was like wow!!:) I liked the ending lark is going to go back to her home and see if she can fix what is happening their. She thinks she might make lethe and her home come together and make them live together. I wonder how the next book is going to play this out or if it will happen the way lark wants it to. The next book is going to be awesome!
review 2: I was not in love with this book. I did appreciate and like the characters; there is something that should be said about good characters... even if they are the villain. I did not appreciate guessing who the villain was so quickly in the story, but was impressed with the message of betrayal, forgiveness, and that age old question: is it wrong to hurt one person to save countless? I am very curious to see what Lark and Oren will encounter in the next installment. Who is the true villain... and is there one? less
