review 1: I loved this book! I was enjoying reading this book && then at one point I guess what was going to happen && so I was a bit sad because I feel as though I waited forever for this book. But then, I was happy again because all though I was right in my guess, it didn't play out the way I thought it would && then I loved it again! && now I am eagerly awaiting book 3! :) I love this story && the characters. Lark and Oren are perfect.
review 2: Lark’s adventures continue as she searches for her brother in a ruined city, with only a monster for a companion. I think the first book was a little more compelling and at first I could not remember much about the first book. Once I got into it I started remembering and I found that this was hard to put down. This story lin... moree seemed more even. A few of the plot twists were a kind of obvious for me, but the story was handled well and there were still a few surprises. Overall, a good addition to the series that creates anticipation for the next book. less
