review 1: There's a guy in Suze's bedroom. Too bad he's a ghost. Suze is a mediator and she sees dead people. And they won't leave her alone until she helps them resolve their unfinished business with the living. But Jesse, the ghost haunting her bedroom, doesn't seem to need her help. Which is a relief, because Suze has just moved to sunny California and plans to start fresh, with trips to the mall instead of the cemetery, and surfing instead of spectral visitations. But the very first day at her new school, Suze realizes it's not that easy. There's a ghost with revenge on her mind and Suze happens to be in the way. IT WAS ABSOLUTLEY FANTASTIC!!! i loved it. i havent read high stakes- but i plan to.. eventually...
review 2: Love you to Death and High Stakes, a two part
... more200 page novel by Meg Cabot, was a book set that I very much enjoyed. Like many other of Meg Cabot’s books, I enjoyed this one very much. Her strong development of characters is elemental to the appeal of the novel. She tackles subjects, whom many other authors would give negative connotations to, and gives them positive light. For example, this book is about a girl who can speak to the dead, but instead of that being a bad thing, she turns it into a bit of a comedy. I like that she does not just use normal situations, her novels are about mediators and princesses or magicians in secret that try to carry out a normal teenage life. Her use of sensory detail mixed with narration is what keeps me reading this lighthearted easy digest. less

Look, I like the story, and the characters are pretty good. But it's a bit boring. There are a lot of unnecessary details written and repeated in the second part, high stakes, I think the writer should really consider adding more details to the story rather than referring to unnecessary things more than ones in the book. And also the fact that the story takes place at a very short interval of time, the first took place in less than a week's time, is also something to be considered.
