review 1: Irreverent, magical, hilarious, absorbing. How I want to believe that no such supreme beings have anything to do with our world. God is a teenage boy named Bob, who has no attention-span, sleeps as much as possible, is epicly narcissistic, and does as little of his job as possible. His interactions with the people of Earth are warped and amoral, but not immoral. I loved this book. And the Eck: don't get me started on how much I loved the Eck. Save the Eck!
review 2: "There is No Dog" is an awesome book, there were some points where it got boring and dragged on but they were outnumbered by the amazing events in the book.so in the book the person who was intended to be god decided he didn't want the job, so Gods,(Bobs) mom is playing poker one night and win
... mores her son the job.So Bob creates the heavens and the eaarth but gets bored so he basically neglects his planet and leaves the job to his old friend and apartment roommate, Mr.B to take care of all the problems going on. Then theres another problem, Bob falls in Love with a mortal girl, sends the world into even more trouble! less
