review 1: Another excellent book from Megan Derr. I'm a big big fan of this series and its world setting.Even though the first story will always be my favorite, I loved all of them. They're not all perfect and the two first stories were so good that you have high expectation for every one of them. So even if they are good you're kinda disappointed because you wanted something amazing.It's hard to keep up with the expectations and I sometimes think Megan Derr should have stopped sooner this series or take more time to write them. Still, I will forever recommend all of you to read the entire series. Just try not to project your expectations on every one of them and you'll totally enjoy it.
review 2: I have a thing about cowboys and when they are magical sorcerers too then ... moreI am obviously going to be predisposed to enjoy the story. However Ms Derr has, as usual, produced a book that had me riveted to the last page and kept me entertained the whole way. Apart from the magical cowboy, she introduced me to an alchemist, who was also a bratty trouble magnet, a demon who was covered in runes and an evil that had me biting my nails hoping the first three could stop it in time. less
