review 1: Meh. Kind of silly. Danielle was a grown woman sneaking out dishes of milk for the fairies. She travels back in time 700+ years and barely blinks an eye. The differences in the way they lived back then, the smells, the food, the bad teeth - she barely mentions anything. A good time travel tale will give you at least some details/observations. Malcolm was almost overshadowed by his brothers - he didn't really grow on me. It was a weak romance for me, quite boring... I ended up skipping pages for the last 1/3 of the book. I would have quit reading except I wanted to know how it ended - even that was lacklustre.
review 2: It took me a couple of chapters to get into this book, but once I did, OH BOY! I couldn't put it down. There was romance and history a
... morend intrigue and a little mystery as well. It was well written and Ms. Mayhue seems to write in a lilted voice that almost sings out. I am currently reading the second in the series and am thrilled with the fact that my next 18 books are pretty much picked out for me. less

While I enjoyed it generally- it wasn't enough to make it 5 star worthy.
