review 1: Book Three in a series of novellas written, in large part, as a tribute to the author's own experience of growing up in a military family. These four brothers are all serving in some branch of the military and have put their personal lives and establishing any kind of permanent relationship on hold because of the demands of that life. Yet each of these brothers is aware of the strength that their parents have found in spite of the fact that they were military, parents that have maintained a loving and strong family environment in spite of external challenges that are unique to the military life. As an aside, the covers on these books are absolutely luscious--where to they find all these hardbodies? Anyway, it's a delightful series of novellas by an author who has made ... morethe military intrinsic to many of her previous works and one who brings that perspective to her stories. This story was romantic with lots of zing and sizzle as is common to all of Schroeder's work. Made me appreciate the six years my hubby was in the Army and the fact that we raised our first three kids within that military family community. A really terrific read.
review 2: This is the third chapter in the Santini family saga. OK, saga is a but overkill but you get the idea. Gianni and Kianna were a super sexy couple that actually started out as a deeper connection unlike the other brothers. We definitely see a different side of Gianni then previously and I appreciated it. The author gave us a glimpse of the family as a whole, coming together when someone is in need, and it was a beautiful thing. I love how each of the heroines in this series are so different yet still fit into the fold that is the Santini's family. I am extremely excited to read the final chapter, when Vince finally gets the girl! less
