review 1: Although not part of the series, this book also features Mike Kelly, presumably from the earlier books (which I haven't read). The plot is quite different and therefore interesting. Three graduate students are reviewing cold cases as a project to see if a different conclusion could be reached. It wasn't all action packed to start with but nevertheless the students steadily chipped away at their mystery making more and more unsettling discoveries. As they get closer to the truth the danger increases and the pace ramps up. It wasn't great but I quite enjoyed it.
review 2: Oh yeah, will be reading more of Michael Harvey. Three students at Northwestern University are taking an innocence seminar and things start happening right off the bat. The three bond and get ... moreinvolved in amateur detecting and immediately run into road blocks. Like the characters, and of course the location, Evanston, just north of Chicago, and the plot keeps making you wonder and turn the page, my kind of book. less
