review 1: Another excellent read from Harvey. Relatively small cast of characters, but enough twists and turns to keep plot moving. What I love about Harvey's characters is that they are flawed in some way that is relatable. They poke at the some of the same issues that inhabit all of us without becoming too preachy. In this case, three journalism students enroll in a seminar class designed to look at criminal cases that may have involved wrongful convictions. It wouldn't be much of a suspenseful read if things didn't go awry at some point, and they do here. What was surprising were the motivations of the characters for getting in the class and for the work that they accomplished. Check out Harvey's work. You won't be disappointed.
review 2: This was an audio boo
... morek we listened to on our recent road trip to the Oregon Coast. Three students sign up for the innocence seminar at Medill School of Journalism. Their goal for the class is to find a case and prove the party proven guilty was actually innocent. These students, one girl and two guys, unravel quite a yarn when the start digging into a cold case. It takes them through the streets, woods, caves and bars in and around Chicago. It’s a good book to listen to – fantastic readers – I’m not so sure I would have enjoyed it as much as a hardback book, though. less
