review 1: So far so good, a bit gruesome in the beginning but it's moving along quickly and seems interesting. I don't often care for demons etc. but not being judgemental yet...what is it they say, curiosity killed the cat...that may be me...LOLThis book was the battle of good and evil and was gruesome all the way through. The story line kept me intrigued but admittedly I put off some of my night reading to daylight hours. However, I could not, would not stop readiing. So, good book and I liked it. Maybe not as a steady diet but yes, i was intrigued.
review 2: This is the first in a new series by Michael Scott. Having read the Flamel series and loving it, I had high expectations for this one. It did not disappoint. This is definitely NOT a young adult series, but f... moreor adults who are not faint of heart. It has brutal and often gruesome details of the deaths of The Keepers, but the story is so compelling that it's almost as though it can be gotten over. It is rich with legend and lore and for those who love exploring that lore, it is not to be missed. I can't wait for the next one! less
