review 1: I would say 3.5, not because it wasn't good; nor because it didn't add depth to Scathach. Mostly because it didn't add anything to the overall story. Like the previous short with this series, we know Scathach has had a multitude of fascinating, dangerous adventures which have brought her sadness and sorrow and which have more often left death and destruction in their wake. I understand the idea behind the stories but not necessarily their importance; I could have read the series without these shorts and not have missed out on much. Lovers of the series will enjoy the insight into Scatty.. And Billy. But those not interested in the characters and their backgrounds may not care or find the short stories appealing.
review 2: Loved this. But I actually think the ... moretitle is not appropriate for the fact that it shows only a little about the encounters of Billy and the Vampyres. It should be "Billy and Scatty and the Horrors in Vegas" or something.But anyway, this novella is nothing short of action since I expected a lot from Scattach the Shadow. And as always, she's great. As for Billy, his humor is compelling but he is nonetheless, awesome. There's a moment that I actually think they will make a wild but happy couple. I'm still thinking it now. Mr. and Mrs. Billy the Kid! less
