review 1: I enjoy reading these books. they're fast paced, lots of action and you pick up tidbits of history along the way. Probably not what you would expect from a book about Mormons. my only gripe after the reading the fourth book is they are getting a bit samey. how many mad cult leaders can you get in one commune? however a couple of big characters were killed off in this one so maybe they'll take a different direction from now.
review 2: I keep thinking that I will tire of this series with each new book, but when I finish I eagerly await the next installment. I really liked this book. I love the strong female characters especially. There were times when I could not understand the characters' motivations, but now I am grateful that I could not predict their behav... moreiors. It added to the suspense. I especially like how each novel revisists past storylines and characters and also adds a new level to the history of the people and the communities. If there is to be a book 5, I think I will enjoy what I predict will be a new perspective of Blister Creek. Well done, Mr. Wallace. less
